OUR STORY
Mindful Memories is something we are incredibly passionate about. Our team is very like minded in our creative talents and we are all family oriented individuals. The idea was to give families the one thing we all personally wish we had of our late grandparents… a type of memoir on film that we could watch for years to come, to remember our loved one after they have left this Earth. We decided to focus on helping families capture the memories of someone special in their life, in a “legacy video” that will be sure to last for generations.
We decided to name the packages we offer after some of the strongest and largest trees in the world; General Sherman (the most massive single organism on the planet, a Giant Sequoia), Hyperion (the tallest living tree on the planet, a Coast Redwood), and Angel Oak (a large and very old Live Oak).
Why trees, you ask? Because trees are a symbol of growth. Trees produce oxygen in which humans need to breathe and humans produce carbon dioxide which trees breathe. Trees are strong with deep roots and communicate to each other across vast lands, allowing them to grow tall and endure all types of weather. Similar to a family tree, humans have blood lines that extend far and wide. We offer support by connecting with family members during difficult times. No matter how far apart, this connection always helps a family grow stronger. We also tell a story, much like trees tell a story through their growth rings. The same for humans, through growth we each tell our own story of strengths and weaknesses endured in our lifetime.
DID YOU KNOW?
“All the trees here, and in every forest that is not too damaged, are connected to each other through underground fungal networks. Trees share water and nutrients through the networks, and also use them to communicate. They send distress signals about drought and disease, for example, or insect attacks, and other trees alter their behavior when they receive these messages.”

The best things in life are the people we love… the places we’ve been… and the memories we’ve made along the way.
